Knee high - but do not stay in that position!

Ordered these knee-high chunky socks in preparation for the winter months ahead (!). They arrived very promptly, beautifully packaged and in good condition. I have only worn one of the pairs that I ordered just to try them out and they are indeed very thick, which is what I wanted. My only disappointment though is that they don't stay up. They end up halfway down my calf muscle on my legs which is not great. I do not have "chunky" legs at all (I am a size 8-10) so this was hugely disappointing indeed for me. I do alot of walking with our dog and also being out with the animals here so to be wearing some socks that end up halfway down your leg isn't what I want. Would be interested to know if anyone else has experienced this at all? I wondered if it was because they were so thick perhaps, I don't know.? On my experience and on that basis, sadly I actually wouldn't recommend them. Sorry.
